We fulfilled another of our dreams. For Christmas we told the kids we were going to Disney World. A month was a long time to countdown to it, but we made it! We had such a great week that they're already planning another trip. We started off the trip realizing 3 hours into the drive we had forgotten to pack the stroller. Of all things, the stroller! So we called up some of our friends who live in the area and borrowed theirs. It kind of felt like we started the week off on the wrong foot, Sidney fell asleep on Josh's shoulder less than two hours after we entered the first park on Monday morning, and then we ended the week with Sidney puking all over me. More on that later. And then on the drive home we returned the stroller, and missed a turn, adding almost two extra hours to our drive. Sidney was pretty overwhelmed with everything, so she was pretty much only in a good mood when she saw Minnie, princesses, or back at the hotel. We came home exhausted, but we still had a great time. The weather was perfect, it only rained one day for a few minutes, and we made some fun memories.
I made a countdown. Jayden and Sidney took turns putting on some of their favorite characters. They're shouting "We're going to Disney World!"
For the month leading up to it I had them earn Disney Dollars so they could have some spending money. They did extra chores and had great behaviour at the store. Now I need a new incentive.
