I was changing his clothes.
Tanner, in tears: Hulk shirt.
Me: It's dirty.
Tanner: Superman shirt.
Me: It's dirty.
Tanner, thinking for a split second: Batman Shirt.
Me: You don't have a Batman shirt.
Enjoy the little things for one day you will look back and realize they were big things

Hulk Smash
Tanner's latest obsession is the Hulk. All day long he runs around shouting, "Hulk smash!" He jumps off of furniture and smashes the ground with his fists. It's funny how one second I couldn't care less about the Hulk and then when my kid suddenly likes it, it becomes something cute and fun.
Another thing he did yesterday was when I stopped by the storage unit to get something. I parked right next to it, and since I was only staying for a minute, I didn't get him out, but I did roll down the window so he wouldn't feel alone. He saw our Power Wheels McQueen and got really excited, but I wasn't getting it out. He kept asking for it, and then he started getting mad and threw his shoes out the window.

Sidneyism
After parent teacher conference with Sidney's teacher I told her she said she was doing awesome. Sidney replied, "I know." She said it in the sweetest way, so I'm just looking at it like she's a confident little girl.

Conversation
Me: It's from when I was a teenager.
Sidney, jaw dropping: You were a teenager?!?!?
Jayden: It's hard to believe.

Mommy/Daughter Date
Sidney really, really wanted to go out with me too, so Saturday we headed out. It was pouring rain all day.
Our day started out with Chuck-e-Cheese, her choice.
Next we went to Joann's to get supplies for her Halloween costume. She loves looking at everything and can't help but stop and look at everything that catches her eye.
Her dessert choice was cupcakes, and we went to a very cute pink cupcake shop.
Her gift of choice was a new stuffed animal that she picked out at Michael's, where we stopped for more Halloween supplies. Really fun day with cutie Sidney.
Mother/Son Date
Jayden and I had a really fun night out. It was just what the two of us needed. We started the evening out mini golfing. It was his first time and he loved it.
He wanted me to knight him.
He chose to get dessert at the mall so we could browse the bookstore afterwards. We passed by the Disney Store so decided to look around for a while. Jayden was so cute, saying he loved feeling like we were at Disneyland.
Our last stop was Barnes and Noble where we got dessert at the café and then browsed the books. We are both huge book nerds, I love looking at any kind of book, and I still love looking at children's books. I bought him a book, and we just had the most fun night together.
Fun Run
The kids love the Fun Run every year at school and this year I went for the first time to cheer them on. They work so hard, it was fun to watch them and all the kids out there running their little hearts out.
Sidney waved at me every time she ran past.
The 4th graders got to do a color run.
More Tanner
While unpacking we found some fun dress-up costumes.
He also found the Legos and I walked in on him like this. He had climbed up on the dresser and was throwing them all over his room.
He thought that was hilarious.
Then he dumped the whole bucket on the floor and was laying in them like he was swimming.
A boy and his cars.
I'm always finding the most random things around the house. Like a cube of butter on a fork on the living room floor, an apple core in my closet, and banana smashed on the carpet.
He also really likes to put deodorant on, not only in his armpits, but on his stomach too, and one day he insisted on bringing 3 of them with us in the car.
Tanner loves massages. He'll come and sit on your lap and pull up his shirt, grab your hand, and enjoy.
He got a huge kick out of his hair all spiked up.

Move
We moved into an apartment a couple of weeks ago. After looking at several houses, putting an offer on one and having it rejected, trying a couple other options, and having nothing work out, we finally had to admit to ourselves we should rent for a while before rushing into a big purchase. It's not at all what we were planning on or what we want, but it was the only thing that felt right. We don't know what the future holds, and I'll admit I'm terrified we'll end up moving away next year. That's not at all what we want, but we're insane enough to if we feel it's right. We're hoping the right house will come along and trusting that even though we can't see the bigger picture, someone else can, and that things will work out somehow. It's hard losing so much space, but we're unpacking as little as possible. I'm definitely past the point of insanity. We are happy though, that our house finally sold. It took four months, which might not seem like long, but we knew six families in our ward in Meridian whose homes sold in 3 weeks or less, and our realtor was sure ours would move quickly. So it was a pretty long 4 months of waiting. It took dropping the price 4 times, but you know what? It's done now, the timing felt really off, and I'm just hanging onto the hope that it was for our good, and this apartment thing is no fun, but we'll be fine. Things always have a way of working out. I have to repeat that to myself every day, otherwise I know I'll drive myself crazy.
Tannerisms
Jayden was laying on the floor and Tanner ran over to him, stomped on his stomach, and shouted, "Yay! Did it!"
