Tanner's 3rd Birthday

The morning of Tanner's birthday I told him we were going to go to a playground at the mall. He thought I meant the park, so he ran and got his shoes, then ran out the door. I followed him to the park, where he soaked in the sun. He's so funny on the swings.
Then he wanted to go for a walk.
At the mall he climbed on each and every animal.

He loved the playground.
We walked around the mall, and he ran into the Disney store, which we played around in for a while. Then we headed to Barnes and Noble for a while.
We picked up his free birthday cookie at the Barnes and Noble cafĂ©, which was as big as his head.
When we came home he couldn't wait to make his cake. He loves helping in the kitchen, always pushing a chair over when he sees me making something. He tore open the cake mix.

I told him he got to lick the paddle, and before I was able to take it off the stand, he was at it.

The bad thing about having to pick the kids up from school is that I have to wake him up from his nap a lot. He didn't get a very long nap, and it's pretty funny waking him up. He can't even open his eyes, and he buries himself further into the blankets.
He sat up and then fell over.
He had been talking about his Hulk birthday for weeks. Pretty much everything he got was Hulk.

Happy Birthday, Tanner! Can't believe he's 3!!!

Tannerism

He has been trying to escape his car seat, and one time I looked back and he was trying to chew his way out, crazy man.

Clown Face

So one day, Tanner came out of Sidney's room looking like this. She claimed she had nothing to do with it, and I almost believed her until I noticed perfect circles on his hands, something he can't do yet. He thought it was great, and was so mad when I washed it off. Life is never dull around here.

A Night Uptown

We rode the train uptown to meet Josh for a night of fun. The train ride was not fun, Tanner was nuts, and cried a lot because he didn't want to sit in his seat.
Playing in the fall leaves. It was a beautiful evening.

We love the singing Christmas bears.

We brought Sidney's friend, Julia, with us because we were ending the night with girl's night.
Oh my Tanner....
Jayden being a big brother.
Josh's boss gave us 3 tickets to see a Cinderella play at the children's theater, which was really nice. Us girls enjoyed sitting on the second row right in the middle, it was awesome. The play was a version of Cinderella set in the 1920's. She was a dress designer, so of course Sidney loved it. It was a really cute play, with a lot of fun music and dancing. We all loved it.

Tannerisms

A conversation:
Me: What do you want for Christmas, Tanner?
Tanner: Presents.
Me: What kind of presents?
Tanner: Mine.

He's such a good helper, he carries his poop out without being asked.
Tanner's first kiss! His friend was over and I was putting him down for a nap. He always has to give everyone who is home hugs and kisses, so he wouldn't go to bed until he got one from her. Oh man, this kid.
Tanner stole Sidney's stool from her, ran into the living room with it, stood on it, and with two fingers in the air, shouted, "Did it!"
He got ahold of my lipstick and thought that was pretty cool.
Looking in the mirror.

Sidney's 7th Birthday

On the morning of her birthday, she wasted no time waking up. She was so excited.
Sparky greeted her.
I brought cookies to school. Her teacher told me at parent teacher conference that Sidney is a little social butterfly. She couldn't be more different from me at that age. It is so fun to see her with her little friends. All these little girls were like little moms to Tanner, it was hilarious.
Her latest toy craze are Shopkins. She asked for a Shopkins cake, and this was her reaction when she saw it. I promise, it was super simple and not even close to professional, but she loved it.
With her new Shopkins.

For dinner we ate at Chick-fil-a at the mall. These two get along on occasion.
We surprised her with a trip to Build-A-Bear. She's been dreaming of it for the last year. She was so surprised, it was fun to take her.

It was a late night, which we ended with cake. She was way too excited about her bear and Shopkins, that I think she only ate one bite.
