Washington

We had to fit in another trip to Seattle too. I'm not as good about taking pictures when we get together with Josh's family. And it was so short, we were there for just a day.

Road trips with Tanner are always entertaining.

We brought the 4-wheeler up, had a campfire, and explored the forest. Jayden almost died when Josh went flying over a big bump. Jayden also got to try driving for the first time, and he did great!
There were a few hours of incredible scenery.

And when you're desperate for entertainment, duct tape will do.

WA: Beach

On our final day we were all finally feeling well enough to get out. We headed to a nearby beach, which was beautiful.
Tanner is an outdoor boy to the core.
Jake caught crabs, which bit him.

Washington

When we got to Washington, Tanner got sick, so there went all our plans. Josh and I got sick too, and then as soon as we got home, Jayden and Sidney got it too. It never fails to get sick on vacation. We did a couple things, but mostly hung out. The guys went shooting and while we were there it was Friday the 13th with a full moon. They went with a bunch of other guys on a night hike to a ghost town. I think they had fun with that.

The kids all looove their uncle's dog, Coal.
We drove almost an hour for this. Totally worth it.
The girls got their nails done.

Oregon: Seattle

We spent a short time with Jeremiah and his family.  I hardly took any pictures.  We just hung out with them and then spent the morning at the zoo.  Jayden was in heaven because he has boy cousins on that side of the family and they educated him more on Star Wars.

Getting 6 kids to look at the camera while climbing on a bear: impossible.
Kyler, Kasen, Kensey, Kailey, Jayden, Sidney...falling off
The zoo sits on Puget Sound with a great view of Mt. Ranier.  It was such a gorgeous setting.  You can't tell with these pictures at all how pretty it was.
Sharks in the aquarium.
We stopped at a park to give our legs a stretch.  Jayden thought it was scary and kind of cool to see 3 volcanos in Oregon and Washington.
Mt. Ranier is so massive but it turned out so small in these photos.  Bummer.
There was a frog at the park and I couldn't help but tell Sidney to kiss it.
