Easter

Backing up to Easter...........I took about five pictures total. Easter was on General Conference Sunday this year. I totally spaced making Sidney an Easter dress. We've been so crazy busy with other things. So no fancy pictures this year, and I only have Tanner pictures. He was so funny, during the egg hunt, every time he found an egg he immediately opened it and dumped the candy into his basket.

And then ate it.......
And then he hid from me and I could hear him unwrapping his chocolate bunny, and it was too funny, so I just let him go for it.

Easter

Doing Easter Texas style!

Little Tanner didn't get his pictures done. As soon as we got to this location, we found that the ground was covered in thorns. The kid's feet got all scraped up and we didn't dare let Tanner down. I'll get to him. But seriously, I love my kids. Sidney is ridiculously gorgeous. Kiron says we need to get her into Dungeons and Dragons STAT!

Easter

I had some time to take pictures of the kids yesterday.  It was not a good time for lighting, so I wasn't completely happy with how they turned out, but I got a couple.  At this point, I'm happy I was able to even find time to do it.  Jayden's outfit is the same as last year, but he doesn't care.  I wasn't going to make Sidney one because I had just finished the one for my mom's ceremony and Tanner's blessing outfit, but somehow she talked me into it while we were at the fabric store.  I was up until late finishing it the night before, I have no idea how I got it done so fast.  That's why my house is not clean and I've neglected the blog, and I have an ironing pile up to the ceiling.  But oh well.  It was worth it, she loves it.  She flipped through the catalog with me to pick out a pattern.  As soon as she saw this one she was so excited because it looks like the pink one Cinderella wears that gets torn up by the stepsisters.  And of course she picked out the pinkest, shiniest fabric she could find.  I don't think I'll ever be able to talk her into anything but pink.  We were talking about how I'm her Fairy Godmother because of my costume and I made her another Cinderella dress for her Halloween costume, and now I'm the birds and mice who made the pink one.  Then I realized I'm actually Cinderella too, because I'm the one who does all the cooking, laundry, sewing, mending, and cleaning.  But where's my dress?  How is that fair?
Tanner fell asleep so I didn't get any of all the kids, but he was still handsome.

Easter

I have been meaning to get out and take some decent photos of the kids.  I don't know if it will happen this year.  I had about 2 minutes to snap these before church.  Sidney picked out the pinkest, sparkliest fabric she could find and she loves it.  I love making dresses for her.  She has worn it almost every day for weeks now.

Easter

The kids woke up to an Easter egg hunt on Sunday morning.  They had so much fun we did it two more times outside.  It was a fun Easter this year, but somehow I forgot about the whole egg dying thing.
He was hitting eggs out of the tree with the bat.
Jayden was really sweet to give Sidney all the pink eggs.
Sidney likes to wear my t-shirt to bed if her Minnie jammies are dirty.

Easter Photos

Last week I dressed the kids up and drove to a beautiful garden to take Easter pictures of the kids.  When I was transferring them to my computer later I accidentally deleted 270 of the pictures.  (That was almost all of them.  But me, my camera, my kids, and 2 hours equals hundreds of pictures.  I love digital.)  Needless to say, I panicked.  I've never done that before.  I called my dad to see if he knew what to do.  He sent me a link to this software.
I ordered it and miraculously, I recovered all of my photos!  It only cost $2.48 plus about $5 for shipping, much cheaper than the $40 software I had found elsewhere.  So, if this happens to you, buy this, it works wonders and was really easy to use.  When I first started to run it, the screen popped up that says how many minutes it will be.  The number was huge, and when I converted it to hours it was over 1.1 million hours.  I thought it wasn't going to work, but it actually only took about 20 minutes.  Phew!  Another little tidbit if you ever have this problem:  If you lose pictures from your card, stop taking pictures with your card.  If you take more pictures you might overwrite the old ones.  Don't do anything until you recover them.  I hope you don't lose your pictures, but I hope this helps someone if you lose your pictures down the road.

On with the pictures.
