Texas Week

Our first theme week was Texas Week. Jayden and Sidney made Texas shirts.
We went to Blessington Farms again. Their website said they were open, but we got there and they said it was closed because of rain from the day before. They let us in anyway for free. No one else was there, it was awesome.
Their strawberry picking was half off too, so we scored that day!
I've never seen strawberries grown in columns of cones before.
We still hadn't been down to NASA yet. We had a great time exploring. We had to skip the hour and a half tram tour though, because who wants to do that with a one year old? Wish we could have, that part takes you to see real rockets and cool stuff like that.
We ate at our favorite BBQ place.

Texas Week isn't complete without some outlaws.
This was the outlaw picture we tried to take for Tanner, but he was not having it.
We caught an outlaw!
Made some horses.
Chocolate treats.

Caverns

There are some caverns near San Antonio we wanted to explore, so we took a day and drove up and back. We must have timed it wrong because Tanner cried and cried through the first hour of the hour and 15 minute guided tour. Our apologies to the rest of the group, but there is no exit 200 feet underground. Despite that, it was really cool, we've never done anything like that.

At the entrance.

It was sparkly.
Sidney wanted to be twins.
There was a lot of other touristy stuff to explore too.

Blue Bonnets

Texas is famous for wildflowers, particularly blue bonnets. We drove out of town a little bit to find some. If you drive up toward Brenham they are all over, but we found a small patch on the side of the road. Sidney is my little model, so I have ten times more of her. And Tanner has no opinion yet, so sorry, Jayden.

And this is me when I was little. Now that is a blue bonnet field!
