Snow

We got snow! School was cancelled, and the kids couldn't have been more excited.

Josh got to work from home, so we broke out our cardboard boxes and went redneck sledding.
Tanner kept trying to ride down on Josh's back.
He loved it, couldn't keep a smile off his face.
Warming up with some hot chocolate.

The second day Tanner discovered he didn't even need a sled because the snow had been worn in and was extra icy, so he just went for it. At one point all three kids were going down like this at the same time.
Going up and down the hill was  lot of work so Josh grabbed Tanner by the straps of his snow pants and carried him up. Tanner loved that too.

Tannerisms

He ends every sentence with the word "poopy."

At the store the other day I felt something grab my rear and turned around to see him smiling and holding an oven mitt.

A Bunch of Kid Stuff

The kids got ukuleles for Christmas from my mom. Sidney and I have been enjoying it a lot, and Tanner pretty much uses his as a weapon.

We've been calling Tanner "Monkey" for years, and this is why.
Tanner doesn't get cuddly with me very often, so I soaked this up.
When he saw me taking his picture, he pretended he was asleep.
Sidney brings home her work every Friday from school. She stands in front of me and reads and shows me every little word and paper. She even reads each and every math problem, such as 1+9=10, 14+6=20, etc. It usually takes 15-20 minutes, but it's adorable.
Last Sunday we got a little bit of snow. The kids ran to the window and were really disappointed it didn't stick.

Tanner loves to look at himself on the camera.

Family Pictures 2015

I wanted a Christmas card picture, so we set up the tripod and only expecting to get half of us to be smiling or looking at the camera or not blinking, we miraculously got everyone smiling, looking, and not blinking! A Christmas miracle!
I tried for a few minutes to get a couple of pictures of the kids, but they were too hyper, so I managed to get a couple of me and Josh.

Picture Of the Month

Kiron suggested to me that I take a picture of the kids in the same spot every month for a year. We started out in Idaho, before we knew we'd be moving. In February, we decided to move, but we kept going anyway. We chose to do it in front of a cornfield, because it was right next to our house, and it changes a lot each month, so it was fun to see those changes. Then in July we chose a lake, which was harder to do because we had to drive there, but we did it! It ended up being a fun project, except they were so sick of it by the end of the year, they are really happy to be done with it.

New Year's Eve

This sums up our New Year's.

Mad Face Tanner

Have I posted this face before? This is Tanner's mad face. We see this daily. For Christmas Kathryn sent us a punching bag, which is the best thing ever. All the kids love it, but Tanner just goes at it with all he has. And then as I was looking at pictures, and then glanced over at the punching bag boxer guy, I made the realization that Tanner and him are twins.
Exactly the same. Hilarious.

Zoo

We had a day out at the zoo the day after Christmas because it was 75 degrees, so we couldn't exactly cuddle up at home drinking hot chocolate.

Christmas

The night before Christmas.....
Tanner doesn't sit still long. We had the missionaries over, and one of them said he has a 3 year old brother. I asked him if he's as crazy as Tanner, and he said without hesitation, no.

Leave it to Jayden to give his snowman poop.

I don't really take pictures on Christmas Day anymore. It's a tornado of wrapping paper, and laughter, and excitement. We are so content to sit in our pj's all day, not caring about the mess, and no pressure to be anywhere. I love it.
