Dance

Sidney has been dancing for 3 years now. She loves it, and we love watching her grow in it. Her dance recital was really cute again. They did a Summer Fun theme, which was a lot of fun. They gave all the dancers sunglasses to wear out for the final bow.

Parade

Sidney's dance studio participated in the Boise Holiday Parade. She was excited to ride on a float, but when we got there and saw it was just a trailer being pulled by a truck, she was a little disappointed. We've come a long way from the bigger cities, and had to laugh when one group was pushing shopping carts. I get it was for the Salvation Army, but it was still funny. For being a decent size city, it's a far cry from other big city parades we've been to. I'm not sure how much she enjoyed sitting on the float, but I think next year we'll just go and watch.

 

 



Dance Recital

Sidney had her dance recital a couple weeks ago. Cute as always. She really is a good little dancer. Her movements are full of confidence and strength. She loves it.



Dance Recital

Sidney's recital was so cute.  She danced twice, one tap dance and one ballet dance.  She had so, so much fun with it and she did great.  She was just about bursting at the seams with smiles during parts of it, and of course those pictures ended up blurry, because it's when she was jumping the most.  But from sitting as far away as we were and being able to see her big grin, you could just tell how much she loves it.

 



Observation Day

In Sidney's dance class we don't get to watch.  The door is shut with the blinds partly open, but you can't see in very well.  They have one day they let parents come in to watch.  Sidney's day happens to fall on the day we are having the baby, so they allowed me to go in a week early.  It was so cute!  Her teacher said she is doing awesome.  She listens really well, remembers everything, and was usually the first one to answer all the questions to what the moves are called.  She absolutely loves dance, and wants to grow up and be a ballet teacher.



Preschool

This little lady started preschool last week.  We are doing the church group this year like we did with Jayden.  She was all excited for it until the morning of, but once she was there she had fun and didn't want to come home. 

And I'm throwing this one in because on the first day of dance I took some pictures before we left.  So now every time we get ready to go she opens the front door so I'll take pictures of her.  She wouldn't take no for an answer yesterday, but now I'm glad she insisted.  How cute is she? 



Ballet

All we have been hearing from Sidney for months is how she wants to be a ballerina.  So to keep her busy while Jayden is at school we signed her up for a ballet and tap class.  She was so excited to start last week.  And I know I'm totally biased, but she is just the cutest little ballerina ever.  All she wanted was a pink tutu and a tiara.  I don't know where she got the idea ballerinas wear tiaras, but she wears it while she's practicing at home.  She was pretty disappointed she can't wear it to class.  I got to peek in on her for a minute, and she definitely is the pinkest one in there.  Now that we know she'll probably be our only girl, we can't help but embrace the pink while it's here.
