Idaho City, Round 2

The day after my mom left, Kathryn came for Memorial Day weekend. We were all sick, so we mostly just hung out at home. By Monday we were feeling a little better, so we decided to go back up to Idaho City. She had never been, and it really is a cute little mining town, so we went. It was another fun day. I didn't really take many pictures. We explored the town, and the kids got to see it all for the first time too. We have always just gone up there to hike and get ice cream. We enjoyed a picnic, then of course got our ice cream.

This was a little museum. There was a huge gold rush here, and it was pretty interesting to learn about. They say that there is more gold left in the mountains than was ever mined, which was hundreds of millions worth. But they won't mine it to preserve the earth.
